In the original concept behind the project, the house becomes once again a home, a place to relax in comfort and socialize, a place to share and love.
The Dimora de le Sisile is part of a project to restore and redevelop an old Venetian country house which aims to preserve its charm by distributing its spaces in a contemporary way, modernizing the structure by using new technologies and reusing the materials it was made from originally in line with the dictates of bioarchitecture.
From the Venetian dialect “"sisila", “ a bird that is free to fly, one that always returns to its own nest and to its own home.
Part of an elegant sombre country house at San Pietro di Stra (Venice), this small, virtuous group of six houses – four in the existing building and two in the new building, the "barchessa" – set in two hectares of land with late Renaissance forms, represents somewhere where history is preserved and future expectations anticipated.
The restoration and conversion of an old Venetian country house into six modern housing units set in a green oasis, a place where the vegetation is not only beautiful but also useful.
A 17th century country home restored in its original form with its own distinctive features maintained in the new project.
The Dimora de le Sisile, or "Home of the Swallows" is the result of an ambitious urban and rural redevelopment project.
An old 17th century house, a country home which originally belonged to the Venetian Beltramelli family, regains its noble spirit and becomes a place for individual and collective well being.
With its linear, sober forms, the house consists of three buildings annexed over time.
The "barchessa", which was originally a rural building used for agriculture, has been converted into a residential part after being demolished and rebuilt entirely in line with the dictates of bioarchitecture.
A natural oasis that celebrates a new model of living and puts health at the centre of the entire biosphere that man is responsible for. The grounds are a true "green lung" and home to a wide variety of local plants.
The figure of the sisila, a symbol of freedom, purity of habitat and healthiness of elements represents a deep bond between man and nature.
In this strong reciprocal relationship, the Dimora de le Sisile is a place of equilibrium and balance. A new model of living that focuses on man's health because well being is the most important value and one that should be carefully nurtured.
The complex, with its two hectares of land, appeals directly to the human conscience and aims to find true peace beyond the complexities of day-to-day life.
The Dimora is a backdrop where you can unleash desires, decisions and behaviour that improve the quality of life and individual and family well being. Small, constant daily actions, a path you share with people like yourself who care about the way they live and how life will be in the future.
The sharing of timeless forgotten values, the conviviality of moments and the community of spaces are elements which are all vital to rediscovering a social and individual equilibrium.
he redevelopment work is based on bioarchitecture, a serious, articulate use of materials from a tradition that has given us a unique, virtually unchanged building heritage, and the use of clean and renewable technologies, all inspired by health, well being and comfortable living, which reduce waste and make saving a priority.
The project enjoys the benefits provided by current regulations in terms of energy efficiency. The buildings are considered nZEB (near Zero Energy Buildings), certified as Class A4.
